From Small Devices to a Clean RackMate T2 HomeLab
Every homelab starts somewhere.
For this builder, it began with a Raspberry Pi, a Beelink mini PC, and a few basic networking devices. At first, the setup was small and simple. But over time, it became a space for learning more about networking, storage, Linux, self-hosting, and how different services work together.

As the setup grew, a Lenovo ThinkCentre M910q was added and became the main Proxmox VE host. This was a turning point. With Proxmox, the builder could run multiple virtual machines and services from one compact system, making the homelab more flexible and useful.

The setup now includes several self-hosted services, such as a personal website, Pi-hole, Navidrome music server, backup systems, Cloudflare Tunnel, and other learning projects. What started as a few small devices gradually became a real personal infrastructure system.
But as more devices and services were added, organization became more important. Cables, power adapters, networking equipment, and small computers all needed a cleaner and more manageable layout.
That is where RackMate T2 helped bring everything together.
With its compact 12U 10-inch rack design, RackMate T2 gave the builder a clear structure for the mini PC, Raspberry Pi, network devices, and supporting equipment. Instead of having everything spread across a desk, the setup became cleaner, easier to manage, and ready for future expansion.

This build shows how a homelab does not need to start big. It can begin with a few small devices and grow step by step through learning, testing, and improving.
RackMate T2 became the final piece that helped turn a simple desk setup into a more organized and capable homelab.
